At Pangea Foundation, we take your information security as seriously as you’d expect. We take practical action to ensure the integrity and protection of your information. All of the traffic associated with ReliefPoint, both from our servers and from your computer, is encrypted using 128-bit SSL protocol. Only users who are signed up with ReliefPoint have access to the application, and ReliefPoint uses secure forms-based authentication methods to rigidly manage who has access to the varying data in the system. All users of ReliefPoint are issued credentials (username & password) upon sign-up and are deactivated once we are notified that a user is no longer using ReliefPoint. For more information about the steps we take to ensure the security of your data, read the Pangea Foundation Security Statement.
ReliefPoint is a web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application that is accessed via the internet. If your computer were to crash, you can temporarily access ReliefPoint using another PC or laptop with internet access by logging into ReliefPoint. Once your computer is back up and running, simply use your computer's web browser to access the site—all of your data is stored on Pangea Foundation’s secure servers, not on your local computer, so getting back up and running is easy.
Using a single login, ReliefPoint lets you manage multiple disasters in one convenient place. ReliefPoint lets you authorize access rights with permission settings that reflect user responsibilities.
ReliefPoint was developed using Microsoft .NET.

Once your organization purchases ReliefPoint, users are contacted to schedule an individual training session. Each user is assigned credentials (username and password) at the end of the training session, and can then start using ReliefPoint. No IT skills are required to set up and maintain ReliefPoint. To get started, all you need is an internet connection and a web browser. No software installation is required.
