Answers1. How much does ReliefPoint cost and what do the costs include? Please visit our Pricing page. 2. What are the system requirements? The minimum system requirements include:
*Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) web browser comes with all versions of Microsoft’s Windows. **ReliefPoint is not compatible with Apple / Macintosh computers or non-IE browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari at this time. 3. How is ReliefPoint Hosted? 4.How do I access ReliefPoint? ReliefPoint is accessed via the internet, so you can be up and running right away. Once provided with credentials, you can access ReliefPoint (www.reliefpoint.net) from any PC computer with access to the internet. 5. How is data secured on ReliefPoint? At Pangea Foundation, we take your information security as seriously as you’d expect. We take practical action to ensure the integrity and protection of your information. All of the traffic associated with ReliefPoint, both from our servers and from your computer, is encrypted using 128-bit SSL protocol. Only users who are signed up with ReliefPoint have access to the application, and ReliefPoint uses secure forms-based authentication methods to rigidly manage who has access to the varying data in the system. All users of ReliefPoint are issued credentials (username & password) upon sign-up and are deactivated once we are notified that a user is no longer using ReliefPoint. ReliefPoint is a web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application that is accessed via the internet. If your computer were to crash, you can temporarily access ReliefPoint using another PC or laptop with internet access by logging into ReliefPoint. Once your computer is back up and running, simply use your computer's web browser to access the site—all of your data is stored on Pangea Foundation’s secure servers, not on your local computer, so getting back up and running is easy. 7. Can I manage multiple disasters with ReliefPoint? Using a single login, ReliefPoint lets you manage multiple disasters in one convenient place. ReliefPoint lets you authorize access rights with permission settings that reflect user responsibilities. 8. What technology was used to develop ReliefPoint? 10. Once I sign up, how does account set up work? Once your organization purchases ReliefPoint, users are contacted to schedule an individual training session. Each user is assigned credentials (username and password) at the end of the training session, and can then start using ReliefPoint. No IT skills are required to set up and maintain ReliefPoint. To get started, all you need is an internet connection and a web browser. No software installation is required. 11. When is technical support available? Expert technical support services for ReliefPoint are provided by Pangea Foundation Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern time.
